This was the third staging of this annual event. All entrants were provided with a Superhero mask on the day.

Superhero Fun Run starts at 11.00am
Where 5km route and 2km route for miniheroes at Abbey Park , Leicester
Prizes There were prizes galore for the best dressed superhero, best dressed team and if you had a super-pooch then there was even a prize for the ‘best dressed superhero dog competition!’
The competiton was held at 10.30 before the commencement of the run.

The participants raised approximately £2,500 for their chosen charities and the entry fees of approximately £1,000 were divided evenly between the Rotary club of Leicester and the Rotary club of Leicester De Montfort. Approximately £500 was given to Leicester Charity Link and £500 to Leicestershire and Rutland Blood Bikes.
In all probability the event will run again in 2017
