THREE IN A ROW FOR TAMWORTH!
On a splendid early autumn day RC Tamworth retained the RIBI Rotary Club Golf Championship.
The Final of the 29th running of the Championship was held at The Leicestershire Golf Club on Monday 7th September 2015. A total of 96 teams from 19 Districts entered the knock out stage. Rotary Club teams from 17 Districts came to the Final when the best two scores from three players counted for the Team Championship.
Team Championship
Winners – TAMWORTH with 80 Stableford points, represented by Mick Cart, John Rowland and Steve Turner secured the Championship Lectern for the third year running, 1st Place trophies and a cheque for £2,000 payable to Rotary Foundation.
2nd Place –CONSETT with 74 points, represented by Bill McMaster, Jeff Farnsworth and Richard Burton received trophies and a cheque for £1,000 payable to Rotary Foundation.
3rd Place –CHELMSFORD with 72 points, represented by Roger Scothern, Bryan Powell and Malcolm Shead received trophies and a cheque for £750 payable to Rotary Foundation.
