AM-AM golf competition at The Leicestershire Golf Club

The Centenary Golf AMAM was held at The Leicestershire Golf Club on 15th June. The event raised over £6,000 towards the Centenary Appeal- A new Visitor Centre at Bradgate Park.

Blanson Ltd was the winning team with 91 stableford points, with Kyal Machine Tools 88 and Pick Everard 86. Others in the prizes were : Simon Pollard – nearest the pin, Malcolm Cramp – straightest drive and Trevor Greenfield – putting competition.

A big thank you goes to the sponsors and helpers and to all 25 teams who participated in the day.

The format  was 18 holes Stableford off 90% of handicap in teams of four, with the best two scores to count. Teams were comprised of Gentlemen, Ladies ,or Mixed, with handicap limits of 28 for Gentlemen and 36 for Ladies. Before or after play there was a putting competition enjoying two attempts free of charge. Competitors were invited to enjoy the running buffet which was included in the entry fee of £260 per team.
